Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, born on 5th January 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko or [paDuko(pronounced as [paDuko]) is an Indian acting actress in film. She is most often seen in films that are primarily Hindi-language. There have been three Filmfare Awards have been given to her making one of the country's most financially successful actresses. Time magazine named her one of 100 influential people across the world in 2018. She was also awarded the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was born in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. She competed in national badminton tournaments in her teens, but she gave up playing to become a model. In the next few years, she started being offered roles in movies and her first part as an actor was in the film Aishwarya, the Kannada title character. Padukone appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan a dual role on the film Om Shanti Om, her first Bollywood film. The film was awarded an award from the Filmfare Award as Best Female Debut.
