Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. The first time she acted was in the 1996 TV film Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for the role she wanted for her in Starship Troopers. It was very difficult when she had to change from modeling to acting since models were not thought of as actors and tended to be given smaller and inconsequential parts. Amy was never discouraged. Her first major part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. In the course of a couple of years Amy made the jump into bigger roles.
