Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada as well as New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's mother, made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role she received an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. She is the second-youngest winner in Oscar the history of Oscars. The actress was chosen to play Flora McGrath the daughter of a mute Scottish pianist, who in the mid-19th century moves into New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an audition for open casting at the age of nine. She was old and had almost no previous acting experience. As a teenager, she relocated to America. Paquin started her acting career when she was a kid, with the character in the Jane Eyre main character in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre as well as a major part of Fly Away Home. Paquin played Frankie Addams from a television film adaptation of Carson McCullers's book The Member of the Wedding (1997). She was a part of the supporting cast in the Queen of Spain Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997. She portrayed teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000).
