Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu was born in the United States. Liu is an American actress, a singer and voice actor. An attractive and intelligent actor, she is an inspiration to numerous Asian actors who want to be successful in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances in some popular series her fame was boosted when she joined the team of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. Following a dramatic rise in fame, the actress got roles on the big screen including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. At the same time, she was playing leading roles in several films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was an unimportant role which failed to have any impact. Southland - a critically acclaimed crime-drama - established Liu's status as a top actress. Liu selects her roles carefully to avoid becoming typecast in such a competitive field. Although she is proud of her heritage but she doesn't let that limit her creativity.
