Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who has managed to cross over from country music to mainstream culture, and has become an idol of the pop culture. Swift also took on all over the world through her music. Swift has thrown off her roots in the country as if it were a second-skin, and has proven herself to be one of the most savvy pop singer/songwriter in her generation. She is able to take the zeitgeist of today and create her personal. The skills she displayed could be seen in her first tracks, including the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless released in 2008 Swift was able to discover who she is and find audiences across the globe. Fearless wound up having considerable appeal not just in the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles due to the Top Ten hits Love Story and the hit single You Belong with Me but throughout the world performing particularly well in Canada, the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift managed to build upon her popularity by releasing Speak Now almost two year following. In the three albums that followed the three albums that followed -- Red 2012, 1989 2014 and Reputation 2017. her popularity only increased. This was a sure indicator that Swift had entered an entirely new world of pop that she could be part of. When she reduced her sound with the stripped-down releases of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore however, she remained on top. This position was maintained with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalog as along with Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
